What’s really sad is that most patients by the time they’ve been diagnosed with HIV, have actually sat in a doctor’s office three to five times.

That is three to five opportunities for someone to get tested and to not have had ongoing days without knowing their diagnosis, so they could get access to medication.

So just test people. Give them the test so that they know their status and they can move forward. Whether it’s someone who receives a new diagnosis and needs to be linked to care, or someone who has a negative HIV test and they’re so excited that they’re HIV negative, but they don’t know what tools and resources are available to them to protect that HIV negative status.
