There is no bad HIV test result

The place that medical providers need to start is taking a deep breath and saying, “I’m comfortable with HIV testing.”

HIV is just another screening. There’s no such thing as a bad HIV test result. Whether it’s negative or positive, that test result is an opportunity to change the health of the person that you’re serving.

So, make sure that you’re testing people for HIV because what happens is you open a whole new world of opportunity to them to prevent HIV progression or to prevent HIV entirely.
